There is a small public road (country lane) separating the front of the hotel from the beach, which although not actually far feels quite a walk up the slope, especially if your accommodation is right up by the main building or you want to go to the buffet restaurant. We used our Tesco vouchers to get Meet & Greet parking, which isnt actually meet and greet but the car park is a stones through from Departures. There were also lots of quiet and adult only areas for those without children.We could not have asked for a better holiday and were sorry to leave - my only regret is that I didn't book 10 days instead on 7! Both the 2015 room and 2016 bungalow had excellent bathrooms and good facilities (more on the room service later!). They were very prompt and made the transfer much easier. Still enjoyable and staff are great I must add!The Wine list in all the restaurants is good and you can visit the wine cellar in the hotel or if you enjoy a particular wine in one of the restaurants the staff will happily grab a bottle for you and bring it to where you are dining! August 2022 we spent 10 nights at Sani Beach, Halkidiki and we enjoyed a brilliant holiday so Ikos had a great deal to live up to and in our personal experience we found the staff at Ikos Olivia to be a little more available and attentive and whereas in Sani Beach it relies on the rest of the resort (Dunes, Porto, club etc) to provide adequate dining options, Ikos Olivia has plenty of choice but all within the immediate resort. My husband wasn't keen on the form filling on arrival as this information had already been given to the resort during the booking process. Well stocked mini bar, tea and coffee.The pool was very clean with plenty of towels and loungers and one was never with an empty glass.We took a motor boat out for two hours which was a good experience. I actually took a small 4 socket extension strip on a short lead in 2016 to the Olivia, but need not have bothered as there were 2 spare sockets on one side of the bed and 3 on the other (although I cant say what was available in the building in the main building).Conversely I would highlight that we found the Air Conditioning in the bungalow at the Olivia in 2016 not cold enough. We will definitely look to return in the future! This was our first visit to this hotel.Our stay was just amazing.When we arrived ,they give us a glass of sampan,and they made an upgraded to a one bedroom bungalow suite,wich was just perfect.Very big suite,with a large balcony,and a very big bathroom.
